Largest Poultry Farm in Southeast Asia | CP Foods Vietnam

Southeast Asia market has the highest production of poultry in the world. Over half of this production takes place on intensive medium to large scale commercial farms while others take place in the back yards of small farmers who keep a few dozen chickens, geese, ducks or turkeys. In the last decade, Southeast Asia’s poultry production has expanded by 56% which saw it growing from 5.9 million metric tons (MMT) to 9.2 MMT.

The facility is said to have an initial investment capital of US$ 230 million, which have the capacity to produce and process over 50 million chickens per year and has created jobs for more than 3,000 workers. The other phase of the investment is said to bring $200 million/annum.

The facility is majorly set up for exports markets and these markets are; Hong Kong, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, and the Middle East.

CP Vietnam is not only the largest poultry farm in Southeast Asia, it is among the top 10 sustainable companies in Vietnam according to Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) ranking.

Conclusion

CP Foods might be having its headquarters in Thailand but its facility in Vietnam is the largest in Southeast Asia.
